Senator and Mrs. Henry are parents of six children of whom they are very proud:
Emily Henry McMahon, their eldest daughter, died in 2006, a victim of cancer. She spent her adult life teaching disadvantaged children and was a water safety expert, having published several books on the topic for the Jacksonville, FL., school system. Emily is survived by three children.
Their twin daughters are next in the family:
Kathryn Henry Choisser is a well-known artist in Richmond, VA. She has one son. Lolly Henry Thompson lives in Nashville. She is a dedicated mom to her two children.
Son Robert Henry is an architect, married to Traci. They have two children, and Traci is a very successful businesswoman with her business, At Home Nashville.
Daughter Mary Leland Henry Kinloch is a social worker and is employed by the YWCA. She has three children.
Son Douglas C.H. Henry sells rare books and is an attorney. His wife, Ashley, is a speech therapist, and they have two children.
